Zeb

Psychedelic Scouse Dub of the 90's

About Me

In the 1990's, Zeb was the defining sound of the Liverpool underground. With a large cult following, Zeb worked through a series of styles and travelled all over the UK and around Europe performing their often anarchic live shows to awe-struck audiences. From their early days as psychedelic indie popsters, they gradually developed through tribal chanting and a host of chemical influences into a dub - jungle - klezmer - world music -type of thing. Very hard to classify! But they were always an inspiration to those who saw and heard them, and they helped define the Liverpool sound of the new century, influencing the early Zutons amongst others.Zeb folded in 2000 after ten great years, but from the ashes arose The Hat Band, including new members and injecting new energy into the unmistakable Zeb sound.
