About Me

Born June 15th, 1983, Jorge Retamal developed a love for music at a very young age. Brought up in the small Spanish church of his grandfather, he was given many opportunities to play and learn from his musical family. After putting time into several other instruments, Jorge finally found his home on the guitar at the age of 15. He wrote his first song on the guitar after only a few months playing, but did not take songwriting seriously until his 2002 move from hometown, Holland, MI to Minneapolis, MN where he began attending college.Since then Jorge has invested in his gift of and love for music without hesitance. He has built a strong repertoire of original material that is currently being embraced by audiences across the US. His natural blend of rock, pop and jazz offers a fresh sound that compliments his thoughtful lyrics and natural melodies. Jorge has recorded a full-length project in OA, a traveling band representing North Central University, as well as projects with other up and coming artists nationwide. From local coffee house venues, to auditoriums of thousands, to live television/radio broadcasts, he is leaving no market untouched. His passionate live show has graced the stage of ten states and five countries. Jorge is currently in the final works of a five song EP. Be on the look out.
