The greatest band in Gainesville to never really break out in the music world at large, Cloven Skies, has officially disbanded today.
What is left behind is some impressive songs and some really, really great fans. In the couple of years that the band rocked the home of the Gators, they showcased their ability to write amazing songs, give the fans an amazing show and make a difference with their sound. Kicking off the Rock Against Domestic Violence concert series, which raised money to help victims of Domestic Violence, set inspiration for other bands to use their voice and make a difference.
The spirit lives on through Joshua Reid Carswell and Kevin Wison who are working on an acoustic rock project, and Jefferson Cowan who is forming a new Hard Rock band. The band will leave its legacy up online here for the fans who can’t get enough of Cloven Skies. They have also posted up some of the earlier songs of Cloven Skies to celebrate the time that the band was together.
The band will continue to answer mail, and post updates about the members.
Farewell to all of our fans who made this band an exciting chapter of our lives. We will miss all of you and see you around.
