Blue Afternoon is an eclectic southern Illinois Band. It started in 1996 as a trio consisting of Marty McMorrow (guitar and vocals), Mike Wright (guitar, harps, and vocals), and Tami Frank (guitar and vocals). All of the original members of the band are also songwriters and have produced local favorites Old Cobden Road, Thinking About Pie, Sweetness and many others. "Pass it On" is the band’s second CD and features a full band including Tom Hensold (drums and percussion), Mark Moreno (bass guitar), and Shelley Mulvany (flute, oboe, and vocals). It received remarkable reviews from the Carbondale Nightlife and is a nice representation of the music scene in Southern Illinois.
