High Priest(Hartford, CT) and Kemetian(Camden, NJ) joined forces in 2006 while volunteering for the non-profit A.N.U. (Alliance for Neighborhood Unity)mentoring program in Hartford CT. Both artist are members of respected groups in their hoods and formed Sutek after a year of building on the same path of enlightenment. Sutek understands their message is one of many forms of expression and is not thought to be the absolute truth. The goal of Sutek is to express themselves through hip hop music to bring Unity amongst indigenous people worlwide. The common theme in Sutek's music is to search for the truth and nothing less. Sutek's is also on the frontline to end violence in the black community and encourage as well as inspire black people to seek knowledge of self by all means.
