Hoshiko's love for music started when she was very young since she was around her older sisters listening to all kinds of music. She is originally from Tokyo and she had started her career in music business as soon as she graduated from high school by working at import record store, Disk Inn in Tokyo. Around the same time she started DJing. She was DJing at the parties in Hip Hop, R&B, Reggae and Acid Jazz scene in Tokyo. In 1996, She started working at the Manhattan Records, which was the one of the biggest record store / distributor in the world at that time, as R&B Buyer / Import Manager. She introduced many underground artists to Japanese dance music scene, especially, European R&B. She moved to the US in 1999 and stayed in Chicago about 5 years and now in New York.
She is working at King Street Sounds as Production / Distribution Manager to dedicate herself to support great music scene and talent. So she has gotten so much great influence from Tokyo, Chicago, and New York music scene. Now she just started producing music to show her love of music in a different way.
