THROAT OYSTER

PISSED AS FUCK!

About Me

We started as a joke in 1996, when we were in 6th grade. Started rapidly changing band members before '97 (by the middle of '97, there was only one original member left), started playing shows at the end of '97. Released our first live demo, "Live in Campbell, CA." on Crackhouse Entertainment in July '99. December '99, "Evolution is a Whore" ep came out. At the very end of 2001, we released our full length "How to be a Winner" and then re-released it in 2003 on Miscellaneous Productions (that's the version most of you have) with an extra track. We've got 3 eps we recorded but never released for lotsa reasons that will see the light of day this year on Bitchslap Records. We continued to play under not-the-best circumstances for years, but due to the amount of retards we've had in this band, EVERY tour we booked was cancelled (some say that's a good thing). By summer 2005, the most successful incarnation of THROAT OYSTER decided they'd rather kill each other than play together anymore, so we said "Fuck this" for a while, but as of May 2006, the band declared "WE'RE NOT DEAD" and will be doing a mini-tour of California to celebrate. Plans for the rest of the year are to play very few shows and work on the shit we've been meaning to release for the last 5 years or so. We'll also be appearing on 3 compilations this year, on Bitchslap Records and High Fedelity Records. More info on that soon.
