Urban Shift Entertainment is in it's beginning stage. Our ultimate goal is to create a network of bands, artists and venues from all over the bay area. First things first, we need bands and artists to jump on board so we have something to offer when we knock on the venue's doors. We should inform you though, that bringing back the local scene is not our only goal.We are an organization with a purpose. I know, I know, you heard it all before, but not like this. Through our shows, we want to adress some issues in our society that are being over looked. We want to shift the focus on our urban streets back to things like community, environmental conciousness, and responsibilty. For those of you musicians and artists that aren't into that sort of thing, keep in mind that when you have a cause, the public has a reason to listen. So even if it's not your thing to help the old lady across the street with her groceries, would you do it if you thought you would be able to play a place like Slim's, or have your concert featured in the San Francicsco Chronicle? I bet you would.It's true, that to team up with an organization that focuses on socially positive themes, comes with a certain amount of responsibility, like no swearing at all age shows and acting like you care about the Environmental Protection Agency, whether you do or not. But even if your faking it, the kids get a positive message, you get the exposure you want and our local venues get the revenue they need to convince them that they should let us play there. Everybody wins, and by the end of it, you may just find something you wish was better about our society yourself. Urban Shift is workin' on the venues right now, but if it takes some time to get the ball rollin, have patience and don't give up on us. This could be really big for everyone, or it could never make it farther that this bio, but you have nothing to loose, no money, time or effort. We do all of that for you.
