..
I'm interested in alot of things:
music,
poetry, books, parties, politics, clubs, movies, shopping....LIFE.
I love life.Don't think for a second that I am self hating because of the music that I listen to or the clothes that I wear (or don't wear depending on how you look at it). These things do not define me. I am a whole person, in all my flawed glory, this is me. Take it or leave it. I don't try to keep up the the Jones' because they're on the wrong escalator. I'm looking for freedom. My mind refuses to conform to society just to move on up in the world. Its simple really. I'm just a quiet girl who writes poetry. Read between the lines.
I really wouldn't like to meet anyoone. Making friends is a long and complicated task. The evaluation process ( determining if this person is REALLY a friend or not) is far too strenuous for my mind state right now. I do re4spond, however, to interesting people. If your message begins with "Damn, Ma" or "Wassup Cutie", or "What's good with me and you" don't feel bad if you are ignored. MOst likely you have fallen under the "uninteresting" category and weren't worth my time. Please don't think I'm stuck up, because I'm not. I'm just not on myspace to smut off like most of yall are. ..
I like anything with a message and a nice beat...
I'm a big fan of Tupac, Common, Talib Kweli, and Lil Kim (go figure). I love reggae music! Cardinal Official, Vybez Kartel (bigup!!) If I can dance to it, I can feel it.
The Lion King, Shattas, Eve's Bayou, Jarhead, Scarface, Something the Lord Made, Running Scared, Halloween, and Finding Nemo...
Law and Order, CSI, Without a Trace, The Simpsons, FAMILY GUY, Dora the Explorer, Blues Clues, and the news...of course.
No Disrespect by Sista Soulja, From the Limbs of Poetree by Omekongo Dibinga, Drown by Junot Diaz, and Men Cry in the Dark by Omar Tyree... Wide Sargasso Sea by Jean Rhys (a classic), Seasons of Migration to the North by Tayeb Salih, The Fire This Time by James Baldwin...The Fire Next Time by Randall Kenan, The Truth Book by Joy Castro, Gone Baby Gone by Dennis Lehane....The Secret of Me by Meg Kearney....The list is going to keep growing.
LIL KIM: She did what she wanted when she wanted and didn't care what anyone thought of her for it. She one of the realest females out there!
JON: Thank you for showing me your true self and allowing me to see that the you I fell in the love with and the you that exists today are two extremely different people. You taught me alot about my self and by freeing me from the mental chains that were suffocating the love out of me, you gave me my life back.
THERE IS NO SPACE IN MY HEART FOR HATE TO LIVE.
THE HURT ONLY MAKES US STRONGER..
