I used to think that i was an atheist, but I've realized that I'm actually a deist. While I don't believe in a god per sé, I do believe that there was something that had to have started the first universe. Well, the dimension of time may not have existed in the "first" universe, and therefore the "first" universe doesn't really exist. There may be other universes that do contain time as a dimension, and those are the only ones that we can inhabit as our universe gets perpetually closer to absolute zero. I also used to think that I could live forever, but I also realized that that is an unrealistic endeavour. Even if cryogenics makes a leap during my lifetime, I'll only be able to live up until the universe "dies" (I doubt humans will be able to survive the trip through the black hole to another universe). This is also providing that we develop a way to reverse the gradual breakdown of cells that we call aging. Some ideas are proposed that we might be able to store our "conciousness" in something that can survive a black hole in order to keep the human race going. Even if we do develop such a device, how will it communicate with its inventors once through the black hole. It's not like it can just come back through, and how can we send radio waves through something that pulls light into itself (radio waves are light). I believe that I've started to ramble on about what seems like nothing, but, to me, this is everything. This is life and death, and I have not yet accepted death as an inevitability. Oh shit, I just contradicted myself, I'm gonna just leave my previous statement as is and let whoever is reading this decide just which one they think I actually believe.
