Beat Up Betty was formed during the autumn 2004.
Ida and Rosanna (vocals and guitar) started playing together in 98, while Elsa took over the drums in the spring 04, and finally Lisa became their baseplayer in the autumn 04. The name of the band was created about the same time, and furthermore the decision that this would be a fresh start for all the members. In may 2008 we got a new baseplayer, Hella, and we..re lookin forward to start playin with her and do shows all over this world!
A lot of you wonder why we call ourselves Beat Up Betty and what it stands for, and our answer to it is simply; Betty stands for everyone and everything that interfiers with our ,and your, freedom to live our lives the way we wanna live it.
