I can't begin to explain just how cool and amazing it was to meet Eileen Dietz, famous for being the body-double for Linda Blair in The Exorcist as well as starring in countless other films! We even had the honor of having her come to our hotel room to watch "The White Lie", which she proclaimed was "..a good piece of film-making"! Welcome to Drew's world: an ever-changing sea of music, art, film, political satire, sports, gore, sickness, perversion, and anything else anti-mainstream. I moved back to Cape Ann in February 2005 after being in western Mass for 10 years, and it definately lit a fire under my ass in the creativity department. I play drums in a band called GRAVITAS with two friends I've been playing music with since high school. Sort of Foo Fighter-ish stuff. My Hip-Hop project has been put on hold while I figure out how to use all the new software I have.I always had a deep interest in gory horror films- the sicker, the better. So when I returned to town and found out that my friend Ron DeCaro was making his first horror short, my interest got a lot deeper. I thought I had seen it all untill I was exposed to the Guinea Pig box set. To say that "Flower of Flesh and Blood" will ruin your day is 100% accurate, if not a bit of an understatement! Anyways, I got a small speaking part in "Eating Razors", as well as M.C. Aquaman getting on the soundtrack, and became part of FOR THE BETTER OF MANKIND PRODUCTIONS, which is Ron's production company. As I update this in December 2006, I have become involved in many aspects of the growing company, including assistant directing, special FX, and soundtrack work. We released a short film in 2006 titled "The White Lie" which I play a crackhead in, which has been praised in the online horror community as one of the most brutal and disturbing 11 minute films ever made.
We are currently wrapping up shooting our latest project, "The Gateway Meat", which promises to shock, disturb, and occasionally laugh your balls off! Stay tuned for more info!
