The Nortec Panoptica Orchestra is a band created by and around Roberto A. Mendoza (one of the founding members of the latin grammy nominated Nortec Collective) in fact, Roberto was who coined the term NORTEC - to describe the fusion of Norteño ("from the North of Mexico") and Techno-, documenting the collision between the style and culture of electronica and traditional Mexican music.
This 2008 marks a departure from his previous solo releases as panoptica, since this will be the first time he records an entire album exploring the nortec sound with new musical partners and very special guest's... stayed tuned for news during this coming months before the release date.
