Yes, I know that...so what?

About Me

I love living in my hometown of Savannah. There have never been more interesting cultural events or a more diverse music scene than we have today. Performing and listening to live music is what I like to do--look for the guy who's rocking out to the band. I try to be an optimistic person, at least most of the time. I do my best to take things one day at a time and enjoy life. I'm always looking for recruits to join me.

My Interests

Laughing, playing music, local and family history, partying, history lectures, hanging out with friends, giving massages, contra dancing, beer, film series, experiencing new feelings, listening to music, laughing, clubbing, getting clubbed, beer, meeting new friends, hearing your story, music festivals, discovering the unknown, camping, laughing, local theater, socializing, canoeing, hiking to get a beer, the Jinx, the Sentient Bean, Vinnie Van Go Gos, drinking establishments in general.........................I'm always looking for friends to: take the bar tour in search of good music on weekends...go canoeing on Ebeneezer Creek...attend concerts (including out of town)..go hiking at the Savannah Wildlife refuge on a cool morning...attend a weekend music festival in Florida or North Carolina..make a day trip to Cumberland Island for picture taking..watch offbeat movies..have a picnic at the Savannah-Ogeechee Canal..attend local theater productions..take me somewhere I've never been..do something I've never done before.

I'd like to meet:

...folks who like to have fun. Anyone who enjoys a real two-way conversation--someone who can share their soul--for a little while anyway. ...anybody with a good sense of humor who likes to laugh....friends who have enough energy to keep up with me. I always enjoy meeting someone who loves music as much as me. Anybody wanna sing some old-time country duets?

Music:

Enjoy live performance of nearly any style played with passion, skill and humor... I do music solo and with any number of my friends. I play with the Glow In The Dark Stringband, Whiskey Dick, Acoustic Ladyland and the Fish Camp Cut-ups. I've been part of the Ogeechee Brothers, Truck Driving Son of A Gun and the Darlins and have played with GAM, Judge & The Jury, Subversivo and Artillery Punch.I enjoy playing many different styles but I especially love old-time country music.I play fiddle, ukuleles, mandolin, banjo, guitar, upright bass and sing.

Two Days of Freedom - Pushed to Pull

I was honored to be in a video by Scary Adams featuring my buds Justin, Mike and Tyler--Two Days of Freedom.

Movies:

Close encounters of the Celebrity Kind; I was fiddle adviser to Danny Elfman when he was in Savannah for "The Gift" a few years ago. He played my fiddle in the dream sequence. The famous Mr. Elfman was a really nice guy.

Television:

Mostly cable stuff--documentaries, animation and the usual cheap thrills.

Books:

Mostly related to music and history.

Heroes:

You.

I miss you more than you miss me

When I was younger and would visit my widower father, he'd tell me how much he missed me after I left.I'd say "I know and I miss you too Daddy".Sometimes I felt like he was simply playing on my sympat...
