What is Punks For Obama?
Punks For Obama is a grassroots, nationwide movement of musicians, fans, and bands of all ages involved in the punk rock community who want to see drastic change in the United States government, and believe that Barack Obama is the only candidate dedicated to delivering those changes.
So, what constitutes "punk" anyway?
Whoever! This race is not the time for trying to weed out the "punker than thou" types. Any fans of any kind of punk, ska, oi, hardcore, or what have you and their respective communities are welcome to become a part of this movement.
What can I do to help?
GET INVOLVED! Go to a rally, volunteer, write a song, put on a show, wear a pin, write a letter, make your peers aware. Anything you can do to get out the vote for Barack Obama, however big or small, can be part of the solution! Send us your ideas! If you're putting on a show, or you've got a new song on your band's Myspace, let us know, and if it's relative, we'll let everyone else know!
If the punks are united, they will never be divided!
