I Waste Of Time hanno origine durante il periodo estivo del 2008, la band è composta da Marcello (Batteria), Pasquale (Basso Elettrico), Stefano (Chitarra), Andrea (Chitarra/Tastiera), e Alessandro (Voce). La triade iniziale (Marcello, Pasquale, Stefano) dal 2007 ha iniziato a studiare i rispettivi strumenti, presso la MaxMusicAccademy, allievi dei maestri: Attanasio Mazzone (Batteria), Andrea Gallo (Basso Elettrico) e Giuseppe Daleno (Chitarra Elettrica), altro allievo della Max Music è Alessandro, allievo della maestra Michela Nardò.
