Founded in 2006 as the world’s first bboy league, the National Bboy League is growing in popularity as the next evolution of our culture. Bboy culture has the intensity, the flash, and the competitive nature to flourish in a full-fledged league environment. Finally there is a structured medium for league style competition complete with teams (crews), scheduled season matchups, and a national championship. From September thru April teams will battle monthly for state supremacy and the right to be invited to the national championship in Phoenix Arizona.
Being eligible for the NBL national championship event is the most important goal for every team in the league. It is the cardinal goal that each team envisions from media day in August until their state championship event in March. Only the best team from each NBL division can make the journey to Arizona for a shot at the national title. As competitors in this league, being crowned the national champion will be the ultimate bragging right that guarantees that team a place in NBL history and in turn bboy history. With teams coming from multiple regions of the country, and Arizona State University as the venue location, this event will prove to be our biggest and most exciting competition to date. We expect the bboys to put on an amazing show of talent with explosive movements and high energy being of abundance. Each team will put it on the line and leave everything they have on the floor, but after the smoke clears there can be only one NBL national champion. Who will it be?
