I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Well...first and foremost I'm an actor. Now what that entails in DC is how many other things you can do. I am an office flunky, an envelope stuffer, yoga enthusiast, mystic, rogue, scalliwag, a former waiter ( I lasted all of 3 weeks) I have been deemed to be 26 percent more fun than most guys. I love being outside, but also love sitting at home listening to music and qasi-ignoring the tv. I don't think that taking my laptop to a coffee shop and sitting there staring at my computer is a neat and or fun and or sociable thing to do...I may be alone in this but I doubt it. I play guitar occasionally, I rock climb, I slay dragons, I maintain a stalwart belief that comic genius should be defined only after careful examination of Bugs Bunny. And by Examination, I mean, hours and hours and hours of viewing. I deeply love the people who tolerate my stupid antics. - they know who they are. Oh and about 2 minutes ago I used the word "smorgasbord" in a sentence. It was a clever stroke of linguistic wordplay and so I think that I, and you, dear reader, need to start using "smorgasbord" on a more regular basis. Smorgasbord. Re reading this about me makes me realize that I give the impression that I'm perpetually using the word Smorgasbord every two minutes... Maybe I am.

My Interests

Theatre, Acting, guitar, yoga, writing letters and stories and songs (not just to one person) running (when chased) hiking, rock climbing,

Music:

Robyn Hitchcock, John Wesley Harding, Billy Bragg, The Replacements, Bell and Sebastian, The Mountain Goats, The Smiths, Velvet Underground, Leonard Cohen, Neutral Milk Hotel, Death Cab, Looper, Beulah, XTC, Nick Drake, The Old 97's, Sigur Ros, The Go Betweens, The Apples in Stereo, the Pixies, Bonnie Prince Billy, David Bowie, Jens Lekman, The Arcade Fire, The Clash, The Cure, Postal Service, Nick Cave, Elvis Costello, Tom Waits, The Magnetic Fields, anything that has some of that old school punk sensibility.

Movies:

too numerous to write here...

Television:

I rarely watch television...but whenever I flip past the Simpsons I always sit and watch.

Books:

All the Harry Potters, just about anything by Tom Robbins, The Dark Tower Series by Stephen King, Harlan Ellison, Pinter, Mamet, Joyce, Rilke, some of Kerouac's stuff, some of shakespeare, Steinbeck, Frank Miller, Neil Gaiman, and Alan Moore, Sam Shepard (his older stuff) H.P. Lovecraft --and no. He's not a trashy romance writer. I also usually pick a comic book that's finished with it's entire run and devour that; currently, I'm devouring a series called "Cerebus the Aardvark."

Heroes:

Is now a mildly entertaining tv show.
