I first came into contact with my boy Don Juan in July of 2002, and ever since I've met him I could see he's real serious about his music. Music is his life and a major part of him as a person. But it's not just the music, he was born to be an entertainer and performer. He has everything; the look, the style, the moves, and the skills.
He was born and raised in North Highlands, California. One of his main inspirations growing up was his uncle/rap artist "Sub-Zero". He looked up to him and watched him pursue a career in the music business. His uncle introduced him to two of his most influential inspirations in the singing industry: Michael Jackson and Prince. The first time he knew he wanted to be an entertainer was when Michael was performing "Billie Jean" on the 'Motown 25 Special'. After that, Don Juan was always watching his shadow on the wall.
Don Juan would perfect his craft everyday possible, listening to his Thriller album, just doing everything Michael Jackson did. Ever since then he has been in every talent show all through grade school and high school. He made quite a name for himself and became somewhat of a legend at his high school. He was rocking the show every year as the main attraction. He performed songs from his modern inspirations such as Ginuwine, R.Kelly, Usher and Jon B. He has been blessed with a true gift of music and he's determined not to stop until he reaches the top. He's an all around true artist and entertainer. He's involved in every aspect of his music from creating the music, to writing and perfecting his dance routines. He has a style that I would describe as a mixture of Michael Jackson, Prince & Ginuwine. He looks up to them as inspirations and created his own style off of them combined. His voice is so unique and fresh that there is no way he can be confused or compared to any other artist out there. His songs are phat, original, and down to Earth that real people can relate to. He's truly passionate and a perfectionist, he's always looking to grow as an artist and person as well.
Don Juan is serious about his music and doesn't play around, he gets down to business. He has a smooth image that's simple and sexy. He gets noticed and remembered wherever he goes. He is truly blessed with madd talent and put that together with his passion and determination, there's no doubt in my mind, and that my boy's going to make it big.
Prince big; Michael Jackson big.I have madd love and respect for him as an artist, and so does everyone else who knows him on that tip. I admire his persistence and love for music. So check out my boy because there's no denying the skills and ambition, and that he'll go all the way.
