Keep A Candle Burning

About Me

| View Show | Create Your Own
Law Biting Citizens formed in 1995 by 3 friends with a common goal....to play music and have some fun. Things started to get a little more serious when Jordan's (drums) brother, Jeremiah (vocals) was asked to join the band. He was the umpteenth singer, and the only one that was serious about sticking with it. In LBC's early days, they sounded like a cross between Minor Threat and James Brown's backing band. Jeremiah's voice at 15 years old, was a little remenissant of Ian MacKaye, and Jordan, Jeremie (bass), & Jason (guitar) were mixing crazy hardcore/punk with jazz and funk styles. (One day I'll mix down the original recordings and release them.) In late 1996 Jeff (guitar) was asked to join the band and helped beef up LBC's guitar sound. Throughout the years, bass players came and went until Jamie (bass) was invited to join and he's locked down the low end since 2002. The band's style started to get a little more straight foreward as the years passed but you can still hear the jazzy funky influences in their music, which is what sets them apart from other hardcore and punk bands. The band built up a loyal fan base playing around town and the region, and has been able to share the stage with the likes of, the Suicide Machines, Agent Orange, Murphy's Law, Thursday, Stretch Arm Strong, and boysetsfire, to name a few. In 2000 LBC released their 1st studio album, "Don't Know Why It All Has To Make Sense." that was warmly welcomed by local and regional fans alike. Then in 2004, after much anticipation, LBC released their 2nd full length studio record, "Keep A Candle Burning.", making loyal fans collective jaws drop, and impressing those that are new to hearing the group. Check out LBC's store at www.INTERPUNK.com and pick up the records for yourself and your friends.
