Claymore (DEAD)

It started as a joke, but became our passion. It wasn’t a band, but an emotion. We all bled this band, both literally and figuratively. There were times when I thought I’d die mid-song. There were times I cried during a song. We did all we could. In the beginning, it seemed no one cared. At the end, it’s hard to let it go. But the beast, she’s tired. She’s weathered many storms, from adversity and line up changes to periods of laziness and beyond. We had a good run. No, we had an amazing run. The old days at KBS/The Hole, The Roxy, tours that shouldn’t have happened, the Coffee Oasis, all the crazy parties we had, me almost dying in Sacto, Richland party, the PFC crew fucking shit up at the Coffee Oasis and me going ballistic, blood, sweat, tears, beers, vomit and all points in between. There are entire too many people to thank for all the good times. Idaho, Napa, you know who you are. Kitsap, thank you for being true to us no matter what. Thanks to everyone who loved our music, hated us, drew inspiration from my lyrics, or was moved in any way, shape, or form by 5 (or 9) assholes from a shitty Seattle suburb. It’s sad to put this dog to sleep, but it needs to be done. We’re sorry we had to go, but please look back at the times you had with us and smile. Crush it forever. -Aaron Yost
