movies, reading, camping, cooking, two- stepping occasioanally, first kisses (or second kisses, or third...), music, politics, religion, people watching, people mocking (don't pretend you don't do it, too), just people in general. they're fun to love AND fun to hate!
You Are Austin
A little bit country, a little bit rock and roll.
You're totally weird and very proud of it.
Artistic and freaky, you still seem to fit in... in your own strange way.
Famous Austin residents: Lance Armstrong, Sandra Bullock, Andy Roddick

People that I can laugh with (or at). Chill, fun, laid back people. I'm not all about going down to 6th street every weekend anymore. I did that a hundred years ago. I love the live music scene, and will always have a thing for musicians. I just can't get into the club scene anymore. I'd rather have a few beers (or rum and diets, or margaritas, or whatever else comes to mind ) in a bar, be able to relax and enjoy whatever band is playing. I love love love the movies, and reading, so I like meeting people who have read a book or two since the days of required reading... I want to meet people who have an opinion, politically speaking. We don't even have to have the same political ideals - just be able to have a rational, intelligent conversation about them.
I love all kinds of music. I know everyone says that, but it's really true. Favorite musician of all time is Stevie Ray Vaughan. First love, musically speaking, was The Beatles (my mom's old records). What I listen to most right now? Texas Country Artists, Ben Harper, Tenacious D, the Black Eyed Peas, and the Once Soundtrack.
I love movies. A lot. Whatever kind of movie, as long as it's not a horror movie. I have never seen a Steven King movie, don't really want to. Oh, or those dumbass movies along the lines of "Not Another Teen Movie" or "White Chicks". I'm pretty sure you come out of a movie like that less intelligent than when you went in. Some of my favorite movies are Life of Brian, Hello Dolly (you can thank my mom for that), The Abyss, The Princess Bride, The Life of David Gale, The Lord of the Rings movies... I could go on for a looong time.
Grey's Anatomy, Lost, almost any house flipping show, Miami Ink, and Overhaulin' when I can catch it.
I read Lord of the Rings every year. I love Jack Kerouac and Pablo Neruda. I can't even tell you how many times I've read the Harry Potter books. I laugh til I cry reading David Sedaris, and Irish author Marian Keyes is hilarious, too. I'm reading Holy Blood, Holy Grail now, which is very interesting.
My dad, my mom, my brother, my sister, Maya Angelou, Oprah (YES, Oprah! She's incredible!). Anyone to whom I say "Did you ever know that you're my hero?". I say it a lot. Heroic doesn't necessarily mean epic. Could mean giving up a seat on a crowded bus or train. Could mean going out of your way to help someone else with something.
