NEW RAZOR FIST CD/LP "Metal Minds" is almost ready fellow thrashers! We know it took a year longer than expected, but good fuckin' metal comes to those who wait! And "Metal Minds" is gonna be the BEST MELODIC THRASH METAL ALBUM OF THE LAST 20 YEARS. It's May 2008 and we're in the studio, so with a little luck and help from the rad German label PURE STEEL RECORDS (who most likely will be releasing "Metal Minds" on CD and possibly LP, although the contract is not yet finished, so keep an eye on their site for updates as well) and IRON BONEHEAD PRODUCTIONS (who'll be releasing a limited edition of 500 copies of "Razor Fist Force" on LP this summer/fall 2008). SO JOIN THE RAZOR FIST FORCE AND HELP US SAVE HEAVY METAL AND PRESERVE OUR LIFESTYLE....Watch for updates to this site as things are happening fast in the RAZOR FIST camp right now!
Sounds Like: Motorhead, Blessed Death, Holocaust, Hallow's Eve, Hirax, early Agent Steel, Warlock, Exodus, Deathrow(Ger.), Venom, Diamond Head, Slayer(up to "South of Heaven"), Helstar, Overkill, Darkness(Ger.), Stormtrooper(US), Destructor, Cirith Ungol, Rage/Avenger, Raven, Attacker, Destruction, Nasty Savage, Artillery, Exciter, Ded Engine, Black Death(killer all black Auburn Rec. band), Overkill(first 3 albums mainly), Violent Force, Razor, Jag Panzer("Ample Destruction" era), Sinner, Morbid Saint, Chateaux, Witchfinder General, Blood Feast, Blacksmith (Milwaukee), Thrust, Deathwish(UK), Assassin(Ger.), Anihilated, Savage, Manilla Road, Celtic Frost, Jaguar, Cyclone, Sodom, Hydra Vein, Omen, Shok Paris, Warlord, Manowar, Sortilege(except for the French vocals), Num Skull, Slaughter Lord, Heathen's Rage, Sabbat (UK), Znowhite, Saints' Anger, Carrion, Living Death, Tyrant (both the German and USA groups and also Tyrant's Reign!), Abbatoir, Grim Reaper, Quartz, Witchfynde, Torch, Axewitch, More, thee classic metal GODS(Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Accept, the gods known as Trouble, Saxon, Dio, Gillan, Heavy Load, Mercyful Fate, 220 Volt, Fates Warning-first 3 LPs only), thrash metal, power metal, speed metal, vintage hardcore punk...RAZOR FIST strives to uphold all things true to power, speed, and the Metal lifestyle. Join us!!!!Furthermore, despite growing up as metal lunatics, RAZOR FIST owes a debt of gratitude to the thrashers of the hardcore punk world(after all Discharge's "Hear Nothing, See Nothing, Say Nothing" LP is heavier than most full blown Metal LPs!). Without these groups the rage may have been extinguished and RAZOR FIST might never have been born.....Hail: Negative Approach (John Brannon truly changed my life as a young 15 year old screamer), Black Flag and Bad Brains(who saved me from suicide on multiple occassions during high school), YDI, MDC, DRI, Mob 47, Kaaos, the true S.O.D.(Sounds of Disaster), Germs, SOB, Systematic Death, Poison Idea, SS Decontrol (ironically a great group to get high to), the mighty F.U.'s, Deep Wound, Zero Boys("Vicious Circle" is the best punk LP of all time), Toxic Reasons, Die Kruezen, Suburban Mutilation, Subhumans (UK-best anarcho punk group of all time!), Amebix, GBH, One Way System, Inferno, Raw Power, Bastards(Fin.), Bastard(Japan), GISM, Ratos De Porao, Extreme Noise Terror, Heresy, Ripcord, Crude SS, Antidote(NY), Infest, early Cro-Mags, early Agnostic Front, Cripple Bastards, Negazione, and countless more. We also must mention the street: Sham 69, Blitz, Angelic Upstarts, Cockney Rejects, Chelsea, 4-Skins, Last Resort, The Blood, Abrasive Wheels, Partisans, Combat 84, and last but not least the UK Subs. And thanks god that for some strange reason I bought that Damned-"Stiff Singles Collection" when I was ten and found those old Motorhead and Misfits tapes a few days later.
PS: This list and the comments contained there in were written primarily by TK, so my bad taste does not automatically that of my fellow RAZOR FIST comrades. Granted we all grew up within 20 miles of one another and therefore have quite similar tastes(although for the most part only TK and TJ are obsessed with Hawkwind, 70s drug rock, and even gasp, the Grateful Dead).
