About Me

I LOVE THE GOONIES! And Colin Firth! I study the Euro (yes, you CAN study a European currency!) and the European Monetary Union (sounds boring I know). I just got done with a year of Masters courses in Economics at the University of British Columbia, and soon it is off to the London School of Economics for a Ph. D in European Studies.Oh, and check this out .... YESSSSSSSSSSSS!
Your Inner European is Swedish!
Relaxed and peaceful. You like to kick back and enjoy life. Who's Your Inner European?

My Interests

SWEDEN, windsurfing, swimming, crew at 6 in the morning with Gen, Erin, Ash and SMALLISON, travelling (specifically to sweden), European Monetary Integration, WORLD CUP FOOTBALL! Swedish soccer, making the perskimiester laugh! I also LOVE skiing (cross country and downhill), ice skating, and the board game RISK (Adrienne and Heather, our armies will conquere the world!). Indian food, Vietnamese food, frisbee, Oh-so-rugged-Canada

I'd like to meet:

Colin firth, James Nesbitt, Liev Scheiber, MATTHEW MACFAYDEN and Swedes.

Music:

Coldplay, Death Cab for Cutie, The Killers, REM, U2, Counting Crows, Michael Buble (best Canadian crooner ever), techno (OMIBUS), James Blunt, Paul Simon, The Boys Least Likely To. HATE rap and country (sorry Kerri!).

Movies:

The manchurian candidate, (both versions), Usual suspects, Zoolander, GOSFORD PARK, anything harry potter (ESPECIALLY NUMBER THREE) Napoleon Dynamite (but only when I watch it with Ailing and Corinne, or Gen, or Angelique). The English Patient. Anything with Colin Firth works. Good Night and Good Luck, Adaptation, Crash, Capote (AMAZING FILM!), both Pride and Prejudice films, Constant Gardner, Gosta Berlings Saga (best 6 hour Swedish mini-series!). Little Miss Sunshine (I would be so happy, if a child beauty pagent actually ended like that!)

Television:

Murphy's Law (BBC) THE DAILY SHOW! The Office (the American version, gotta love Dwight). Da Ali G Show. I don't watch much TV though.

Books:

FREAKONOMICS: A Rogue Economist Explores the Hidden Side of Everything (it makes me happy that I study regression analysis. Because the theory behind regression analysis is so damn boring) Harry Potter, (especially book three)! Globalization and it's Discontents by Joesph Stiglitz. Pride and Prejudice. Anything by James Michener (yes, I spelled his name wrong, and yes he writes 1000 page novels, but it's like crack for people who like history). I am going to go on a limb and say this, but I did like the Da Vinci Code. JARED DIAMOND BOOKS (Guns, Germs and Steel, the Third Chimpanzee). Dave Barry books.

Heroes:

Sloth, toothpaste, raymond shaw (I seek to be a brainwashed robot when I get out of school). Professor Silberberg (don't ask, just accept it). Gen Sofie, because she can fucking solve ANYTHING, AND she ran a marathon. Angelique Croan, who can fall on cue. Anyone who has managed to escape the hell of Buchanan Tower unscathed. Henrik Larsson, because he scored a goal in the 90th minute against England, helping them advance to the second round of the World Cup, AND preserving their "haven't-lost-to-England-since-1968" record. Stewie from the Family Guy
