Beatles. No, really. I'm a Beatles junkie. Also love the Who. Seen them live 10 times, though they've been dwindling in band members... on a more current topic, it's pretty close to impossible to beat Radiohead, and I've travelled around the US to see them in several different venues. Wilco is another must-see modern band. Also love blues, classical (especially guitar), jazz...
Brazil. My favorite movie of all time. 'Nuff said.
Criss Angel: Mindfreak. (I have to say that because I work on the show. And I love it.)
And there's always THE SHIELD on FX. I call it the second best show on TV, because there has to be SOMETHING better, but I have yet to find what it is.
I'm a HUGE Tim Powers fan, and am lucky enough to have gotten to know him over the past few years. Our house is used as a location in his latest book "Three Days to Never" (which is fantastic!). To get into Powers, start with LAST CALL or ANUBIS GATES. His latest book, DECLARE, is amazing, but not the easiest read in the world. It will definitely challenge you as a reader, so save it for your 3rd or 4th Powers read.
Also love Clive Barker's books, for those real deep down scares. And Dan Simmons is way up there, though he's lately been going the way of Stephen King (as in, "Boy his early stuff is amazing! What happened to him?").
