I'm just a square peg guy in a round hole world

About Me

I'm a creative and productive guy. I love writing, producing, acting, directing, pretty much making great stories come alive however I can. I love new experiences and the ol' reliables. New friends are great and have some fantastic old ones. My family is very important to me and people I'm not related to can become part of my pack/pride mentality and be deemed family members and they stay that way for life.Favorite Quotes: "Kill him!" they shouted. But others said, "No, no. Let us see him dance." - Aboriginal folklore about why the kangaroo is up on two legs."We realized we could be the loudspeaker." - Ian Rowe quoted from Mar/Apr 2007 GOOD"Hooper reckons that's the most delicious triangle he's ever seen." Notes on Hooper from the project I'm working on"Thunder repeated: the image of SHOCK, Thus in fear and trembling, The superior man sets his life in order, And examines himself." The I Ching"A changed character must make new choices, take different actions, and live another story-his story." Robert McKee's Story (on story structure in light of character change)"I make no comment; these events, which have tumbled from my lips any old how, garbled by haste and emotion, are for others to judge." Salman Rushdie, Midnight's Children"I have a vision. And somebody might have to die." Cecil B Demented
You Are Animal
A complete lunatic, you're operating on 100% animal instincts.
You thrive on uncontrolled energy, and you're downright scary.
But you sure can beat a good drum.

My Interests

See above. Add being adventurous. Anything at least once.

I'd like to meet:

Anyone and everyone. Can't know if I would've liked to have met you until after we have done so. So meet me and we'll decide what to do about potentially regretting it later.

Music:

Damned near anything that keeps the muse dancing. My brain decides what I like. I have very little control.

Movies:

Too busy working on them to watch them apparently. I've seen nothing in theaters in months. Saw Pan's Labyrinth recently. Even though Rebecca hated it, I'm a big fan.

Television:

Rescue Me and the ol' Firefly action. Sometimes a bit of Daily Show.

Books:

Nearly everything. Just finished the Koran, One Hundred Years of Solitude, Psychoanalysis and Religion by Erich Fromm, on a book about the do's and dont's of setting up an indie film co (a book I read out of necessity), Strangers Among Us, a book about immigration from Hispanic countries, Fast Food Nation, The Plague by Camus. Started Story by McKee got sidetracked by something silly and now onto House of Leaves ( A must for the weirdos loved). Next will be a Foucault, McKee again, or something Ami tells me to read and then Anansi Boys. The past many I've loved? Choke by Palanik, Kerouac, miller, American Gods by Gaiman, the Hyperion series by Simmons, Chaos by Gleick, Human Natures by some dude, Guns Germs and Steel by Diamond and anything by Erich Fromm, the man writes my philosophy. This list continues for a long string. Do you see?

Heroes:

I find that nearly everyone has a heroic quality. Even you...probably.
