Welcome to Eric Schreckengost's Myspace!First and foremost, I will have you know, I am a Christian. God is the most important thing to me and He is so real and SO worth living for. I am Straight Edge. I don't drink. I don't smoke. I don't have sex. This is because Because I will stand apart from this world. I have standards and morals of my own. I am sick of seeing people falling into a slavery to themselves. My God calls me to live a life thats respectful to Him, as well as to believers and non-believers and I don't want to be any more of a disappointment to my God.
I am in a band called Give Us This Day. We are a Christian hardcore band, and I love all of those guys, they are like family. We do have a myspace, but the recordings dont do us justice. If you watch this video, you will get a better idea.

I am single once again. I have no regrets about the relationship that I was just in, other than it didnt have a fairy tale ending. However I have never been more confident that God is good and He is always watching out for me, and I know I will end up right where he needs me to be, and so I have such a joy, such an anticipation for my life and things to come.
I am NOT a tough guy. I have no desire to be. I never want to be. I have tattoos and am in a hardcore band, but I'm not a hard head and I love getting to know people. Smiling and laughing are my favorite. I am not a pissed off kid. I will never fight anyone for any reason, and thats because fighting is very juvenile and it doesn't solve anything. Just because you knock someone out doesn't make you right. If you think your fists can take you through life, you have a reality check coming, and nothing can save you.
I've been told I smile and laugh too much when I'm on stage. Its because I love my life. And Hardcore makes me happy. And I will show it. If I have to be pissed off to make fans, they can leave, because thats not what I'm about. I would GLADLY have a crowd of 20 kids who are laughing and having a good time together than a crowd or 300 tough guys that are all out to prove something.
I love my friends. I've had my periods of unsociable-ness, and I understand they wont be in my life forever; but that is NO REASON to not enjoy them now. There is NO other way I'd rather spend my time than to be with my closest friends. The memory's I have for the rest of my life are being made right now, and I love being around people and having a good time.I have a deep admiration for everyone who serves our country, from cops to army to president, anywhere in between, and if you don't respect them, thats a shame.
I am flawed as any other human in this world. I try hard to live my life in a way God would approve but I fall short every day. I have lots of faults and shortcomings I hope to conqueror some day, but until then I invite you to call me out when I act in a way that is inconsistent with my beliefs you have read on here.
