Writing, reading, music, watching movies, going to concerts/shows, baking, having fun doing silly stuff, singing, spending time with my family, friends, and loved ones, keeping up-to-date on my favorite artists, chatting online, and making new friends.
Fun and interesting people from all over the world who could become friends.
Mostly old R&B, Soul, and Gospel music are my favorites, but I also love jazz and classical music. I love old-school hip-hop and some Spanish-language music like ranchera, mariachi, and musica tropical. At the moment I'm learning to appreciate country and Tejano music as well. Pop is a necessary evil, but I can handle it if it's low on bubble-gum content. Basically, if it's good and I feel it, then I like it.
Mostly comedy and drama, but I also love action movies, and in particular cop movies, psychological thrillers, and such. Science-fiction is also very fun. I like to think outside the box. Horror movies are growing on me, though I'm still not brave enough to challenge some of the classics. Romance is better in novels or in real-life, so movies that are specifically romantic are actually kind of boring to me. I'd rather be held in suspense, or scared out of my wits, or even have my brain twisted with trying to figure a mystery out than be fed false scenarios with lame lines and trite illusions of love. Do I sound cynical? I'm not. I'm just honest.
I didn't used to watch a lot of TV, but now I have become slightly addicted to all three of the "CSI:" shows. I just love cop shows in general. "Cold Case", "Without A Trace", "NCIS", "Num3rs", and "Mindhunters" are also on my list. I don't watch anything else. I guess you can say I'm a fan of CBS all together. I stopped watching "American Idol" because I got frustrated with the whole tired concept. I don't particularly like sitcoms unless I'm really bored and have nothing else better to do, but then again, I don't let myself get bored. I'll just read a book.
I love to read, and I will read any book as long as it's interesting and engages my imagination. I mostly read fiction, but real-life is sometimes even more fascinating, so I also read autobigraphies and true-crime. I like cookbooks and how-to books, too. Magazines, journals, and the newspaper, also. I feel like a broken record, repeating this over and over again, but it's true: I will literally read anything and everything within my reach.
Michael Jackson. Need I say more? The man has been through hell and still he rises. He has been, is, and always will be a hero to me for all he's done and continues to do. I learn so much from him, through his music, his writing, the ideas he has about life and how we can live it, and his hope and vision for the future. No other artist has influenced me so much, not only in the actual technical and also spiritual aspect of music, but as a human being, like how to be a better person. Michael has empowered and inspired me to fulfill all my God-given potential through my gifts and talents.
