I'd like to meet:

Well hello there dear visitor
First of all, let me welcome you to myspace in a lucrative, narcissistic, glamorous wannabe manner.Oh yes and I must note that none of the songs playing on the background is intended for anyone in particular, unless mentionned otherwise, but heck I always love a good serenade so feel free if you must, hahahaha :)Oh by the way, what you are hearing on the background is me going at it on my keyboard (Friday April 11th 2008 for the record) and singing along, the song is ofcourse the very famous song "All by myself", I play by ear for the moment, I am still learning to fluently play those keys from paper, I mean...I can read notes and I know where to find the keys and all, but it's the coordination and well basically it just takes time to learn how to play the piano right? Anyway I've been doing a bit of self studying and this is the end result, so hope you like how it's going so far, hehehe :), for some reason right now I can only sing along with what I play with single keys or chords, but someday I will learn to sing along with full blown out key-usage....I hope... :S.

Well let's start from the beginning, my name is Raisha, I am 23 yrs old, originally from Saint-Martin, raised in the Netherlands, fluent in English and Dutch and reasonable with a few other languages.

Creativity is my oxygine, I inhale and exhale it, absolutely love everything about it. In my opinion creative expression is as good as it gets.

I actually do have a life and that is not up for debate, you'll just have to take my word for it. So yes, I know people offline and no they aren't living in my head.

My starsign is gemini incase you were wondering (and if you weren't, I'm telling you anyway) and with an exception of the not being faithful part and the impatient part, most anologies on Gemini's fit me to a T, there are many sides to me and I can adjust myself to any situation, my mind is going 24/7 and I own a sharp tongue which will lash out at you when provoked.

Ah look, we are bonding already aren't we?

I have recently come to the conclusion that some people are right, I do talk allot so I've decided to type it off in my blog with perhaps some interesting discussions, so why not take a look?So before you click out of this profile ****VISIT MY BLOG*** and that's an order!!!ok...Moving on...You will only know as much as I want you to know about me and that is just the way it is going to be.Though I am welcoming, I keep people at a distance and allow them to get as close as I feel comfortable with. The only people allowed to invade my personal space in life are those that are in my life.So yes, I might be flirtatious at times, but I am not here for dating, it's not the purpose of this profile. So please do not bother sending messages asking to get in touch to date and maybe marriage if all goes well, it's a big fat turnoff and will cause me to not desire any communication with you. Just because you might catch me posting extravagant comments on a male account it doesn't mean that I am open for dating on this thing. So let's get this straight.I AM NOT HERE FOR DATING! I DO NOT TOLERATE NONSENSE! I AM NOT HERE FOR DRAMA! And if you cannot deal with that, then that's your problem. So there you have it. ::ME::

This is me

Remember, soap is your friend ;)

I love ANYTHING that has to do with creativity, it's who I am, I inhale it, I exhale it,creativity=me.

Music:

I love various sorts of music and therefore choose not to fill in any names as it will take allot of time to type them all down, hehehehe.

Movies:

Too many to mention and I am serious, if I'd take the time to type all of the movies that I like down...whoa... no way.. I've seen too many, lol.

Television:

Whoa..where to begin???

Books:

Soooo many...I've decided to fill in this section again. Read so many books since...Must say if you are into thrillers Karen Slaughter will not dissapoint you. I swallowed quite a thick book whole and not many writers can accomplish that.I am yet to read some more books I've purchased, but if I can be bothered I shall elaborate on them ;).**ARCHIVE***Quite recently purchased a few more books which shall keep me busy at night whenever music isn't occupying that time or perhaps in the afternoon on a traintrip or where ever. Other than that, I shall depend on the library to fulfill my literary needs.Read yet another Stephen King bundle and "The Mother Tongue" by Teri (Peitso-)Holbrook, it's quite an interesting plot:
The story already begins with typical signs typical ideas concerning racism.I love the way it was written, switching from characters and showing how some undercover racists show their true colors when amongst people sharing the same ideas.Showing how prejudice people can turn around and befriend those they were prejudice about. And how wolves can truly disguise themselves in sheeps clothing. The plot covers a murder of two Caucasian males and one Asian male in the back of the truck tied up.It's one of those stories that slowly unfold themselves, that will add extra details which in the end all fit together like a puzzle. I recommend this book. "Mother Tongue", Teri Holbrook, go check it out.
Right now I have taken a break from reading another (yes..you read correctly) Stephen King bundle in order to read a Scandanavian thriller,"Händelser vid vatten" a translated copy as none of the Scandanavian languages is one I comprehend, the title is translated in Dutch as "Black water". I shall enlighten you on the book whenever I am ready.
I am only at the beginning but it's about two murders that occur on two campers in Northern Sweden , the killer isn't found, then everything turns quiet , but it still grabs hold on people. After a while it turns out people have lied or have hidden things to protect themselves or others and years later someone things they've found a lead to the true cause...
My reading experience
Being a bookworm I used to read lots of books, including educational ones, biology books, geology books, archeological books. My first books were disney books, I was a member of the Disney bookclub at the age of 4, I was one of the happiest kindergarten kids not having to depend on my mom to read me a bedtime story. No wait..actually the kids bible was my first book, after that came the Disney books. I grew up on Roald Dahl books, any movie that came out from them, I either read in school or at home.
The library was my second home, during lunchbreak I'd go to the library and after school.
As I got older, I expanded my genres.
I enjoy reading, it's soothing and triggers the mind.
I also write myself, one of the things I've learned by reading books is that every writer has a writing signature and every genre a different way of writing, I also learned allot about layouts and the correct way of writing stories for children, teenagers or adults.
One of my all time favorite books
"Het Gouden Ei" by Tim Krabbé, a Dutch author, the story was turned into a movie known as "The Vanishing".
,the plot had some changes including the names, location and a different ending.
I actually saw the movie before I read the book, I was 10 when I saw he movie and 6 yrs later read the book without placing any connection between the two as I didn't know the title of the movie, till I saw the movie again, which was a real bonus and my book report ended up kicking butt. I actually read the book a few times and I think I might do so again as soon as I'm done with the other books.
A brief synopsis of the plot:
Guy is on a holiday in France with his girlfriend. Guy waits outside gasstation for girlfriend. Girlfriend enters gasstation but never returns. After endless searching guy returns to Holland. Guy carries on with his life and gets a new girlfriend but he can't get the vanishing of his former love out of his head. Eventually he meets with a guy that claims to know what happened to his girlfriend but guy has to follow in her exact footsteps....
That is all I will say...go read the book :)
The reason why I love this book is because it's brilliantly written, filled with symbolism and quite psychologic. If you enjoy a decent thriller this book is recommended!!!
