You don't have to like what I do, but you WILL respect it....Chamarl started writing poetry in 1989, but it wasn't until he was going Onondaga Community College that he realized that, this was his calling. He started writing day in and day out. ( everytime he felt it ) The more that he wrote poetry, the more he wanted people to hear it. As time went on Chamarl was told that he should think about going public with his work. He was never much of a talker, so at first it felt a bit crazy,but as he became more in tune with the crowds, his style of poetry began to form. Most of his poems were written about things going on in the " Hood ". Alot of people began saying that he speaks the truth, and that his poems are " Real ", as well as other things. This number of circumstances, had the people in the crowds calling him "HoodSpeak". I guess as you can see it kind of stuck!!! You can also find some of my work @ www.poetry.com
