Hi, I'm Josh
I'm growing a beard, the last time I shaved was April 26th 2007. This beard will be epic.
I'm a music geek and kind of a music elitist, yet I don't play any instruments myself. Talking about music with someone is one of the most meaningful things I can do with another person. Unless the other person has no idea what I am talking about, then it is just frustrating.
Chances are if it is sludgy, slow, heavy on the low end, weird and experimental I will love it. If it is fast, crunchy and frenetic, I'll probably also love it too. I have appreciation for pretty much every genre of music and I also like a lot of random weird quirky indie stuff that defies classification.
I hate most mainstream music, I am also not fond of most metalcore or screamo. It's too formulaic and quite frankly, boring as fuck.
I live for going to shows. I spend too much money on merch, and amazingly my hearing hasn't deteriorated too much from all the loud music.
I am spiritual but anti organized religion. I don't like fundamentalist bible thumpers, I don't like their attitude that they have it all figured out. I see truth in all philosophies and religions.
I believe that religion is good only if it helps people live better lives, but more often than not it divides people instead of bringing them together. Some of the most "religious" people are the most judgmental, vile and intolerant of everyone. To be moral and ethical, you don't need to believe in God or have any religious beliefs whatsoever.
