About Me

There's not much to tell. I'm a writer, a reader and a lover of music. I don't take life too seriously--even when shit hits the fan. It's life. Get it? Pissing, moaning and angsting about your problems ain't gonna help you any. All it'll do is screw up your day and make you miserable. So relax, sit back and enjoy the ride.

My life revovles around my hubby, our fur babies (two gorgeous Alaskan Malamutes, along with a silly grey cat) and my family. In my spare time I amuse myself by writing, attempting to make icons, and creating funny, dumb quizzes. I'd say that about sums me up. Over and out.

My Personal Web Sites

Slashed to Deth: A fan fiction archive devoted to the current and past member of Megadeth. Also includes stories featuring the following bands: Badlands, Cheap Trick, Judas Priest, Motley Crue, White Lion and Ratt.

Mad Max Villains: Devoted to the bad boys of the Mad Max movie trilogy. Also includes fan fiction.

My Live Journal: This is where I mainly hang out and post the majority of my "blog" entries. Most of the posts are "friends" locked. So if you have LJ, feel free to add me and I'll "friend" you back.

Cruecified: A Live Journal Community dedicated to everything that is Motley Crue. If you have a Live Journal account, go join. No, it's not my personal web site. It's run by the ever-so-sweet Vince (not Vince Neil hehe).

My Interests

Writing, music, web design, cycling, walking, working out, boating, camping, fishing, and just being outside. Yeah, my interests are pretty mellow now. I was once a wild, partying, hell-raising chickie and traded it in for for pets and a husband. (I've since broke up with my career. He took it rather hard.)

Don't get out to concerts like I used to back in the day. But I still love music; it's at the top of my list next to writing.

I'd like to meet:

Other writers and people who like music. At the top of my list are: Judas Priest, Megadeth, Ratt, Pearl Jam, RHCP, Cheap Trick, Overkill, Alice in Chains, Badlands, Motley Crue and Vince Neil (solo).

Funky's Fave Quotes

Shredders

Quizzes I've Taken

Congratulations! You are John. In three words:
Intense, Harmonic, Artistic. You are probably
kind of timid, but you have a GIGANTIC passion
for what you do. You come across to people as
intense and shy, and you probably felt
misunderstood at some point in your life. You
are very timid, and, being the guitarist, in
the spotlight sometimes, which kind of
embarrasses you. Sometimes you get so into what
you are doing you take it into excess... but
that's okay. You have since recovered, and are
deeply in touch with your spirit. You are too
cute, no one can resist you.

I'm mainly into non-fiction. Love true crime, especially about the mafia and outlaw bikers. Biographies--I  rock-n-roll biographies. Reading about a band or someone's life is totally cool.

Books on music are also something I enjoy collecting since I love learning everything about the history of rock-n-roll and how the industry works. Also dig researching for stories and novels. Within my research collection are books about New York City and Venice. I'm not sure why, but I forever set an original piece in these cities.

Lately, just can't get into fiction. So I tend to re-read books by my fave authors, such as Anne Rice, F. Rosanne Bittner, Catherine Hart, John Benton, and Johanna Lindsey. Series are what I enjoy the most.

Heroes:

Mother Theresa! Hey, don't laugh, she kicks ass. I love the words this woman lived by: "Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier."
