Pasquale D’Alessio’s (born on November 26th 1988 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada) passion for music was something that was almost apparent from birth. He recalls his mother always telling him that the only thing that would put him to sleep as a baby was the gorgeous sound of the perfectly arranged orchestra of a Beethoven or Mozart symphony. He is classically trained in both voice and piano since the age of 9 and was recently taken by the beautiful warmth of the guitar to which he continues his search of a better sound. In May of 2004, D’Alessio took first place in his age category at McGill’s prestigious Voice Festival, and was also named Most Promising Participant in all age categories, two early signs that bode very well for his future. Here’s what some of the judges had to say;“...Full and vibrant sound... Wonderful.... Superb intonation. Bravo!”“...Great use of dynamics, great flexibility and agility...”“...I really enjoyed your performance, what a pleasure to hear such a bright talented, technical and emotional singer...”D’Alessio was also nominated for and accepted in the exclusive Canadian Chopin Piano Competition in 2004. His talent at the piano is only surpassed by the angelic color of his voice. He is presently a UCLA Voice Major (Tenor) under the direction of world acclaimed baritone, Vladimir Chernov and is closely followed and coached by legendary vocal teacher Seth Riggs. Riggs first met Pasquale in his studio back in 2005 where he immediately insisted on a move to Los Angeles for Pasquale in order to maximize his musical growth. Riggs first described D’Alessio’s voice as simply “...rich and full of color and at such a young age...” This voice is here to stay and will surely sooth the soul of those who have the pleasure of hearing it as it as already done in various concerts in his hometown Montreal and as far as at a special appearance in his parents homeland country of Italy during an inaugural presentation for the cities mayor.Composition and song writing have helped him get in touch with his inner sound and share it with the rest of the world. Be it through one of his Piano Concerto’s or one of his latest progressive rock compositions, his music will touch his audience in a way that will surely keep us asking for more. With such influences ranging from Beethoven and Chopin to Pavarotti to Blind Lemon Jefferson to Santana to Led Zeppelin, Queen, and Pink Floyd to Nirvana to other bands like Red Hot Chili Peppers and Radiohead, it is no wonder D’Alessio’s musical range is so impressive, giving him a particular sound he is making his own. Stay tuned...
