About Me

About me...I've lived in Chicago(suburbs for most of it - Glenwood Represent!) my whole life, save for a few years screwing around in Champaign Urbana, and I couldn't imagine being anywhere else. I have a tremendous group of friends, without whom life would be significantly less exciting. Despite our technologically advanced society, I can derive pleasure from almost anything (oooh...shiny), although my favorite forms of amusement are: Illini Basketball (and college hoops in general, but my Illini are first and foremost), music, golf, tailgating and cooking out (you have not lived until you've been to NASCAR), original Nintendo, Starburst Jellybeans, and the 6/8 time signature. In regards to my personality, I'd have to say I'm pretty social for an accountant/band type. I love going out, but I think you can have a blast doing anything if your friends are there. My claim to fame would have to be my contributions to public displays of enjoyment. Many social historians note that on a trip to Madison, WI in 2002, my friends and I were charged with the task of bringing back the "high five." As my pictures show as well, the "thumbs up" is also making a comeback. So if the urge strikes you to perform either of these - don't be afraid. It's ok. I promise.

Generally anything but country, but my favorites are: Primus, Gnarls Barkley, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, DangerDoom, The Who, Phish, Kanye West, N.E.R.D, Ben Folds, Incubus, The Aquabats, Oysterhead, Colonel Claypool's Bucket of Bernie Brains, Jamiroquai, Common, The White Stripes, Old School DMB (Anything Pre - Before These Crowded Streets), Bob Dylan, Cake, Oasis, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Death Cab, Oasis, Wilco, The Beatles, Green Day, Pearl Jam, and Alabama Jr.

The Hunt for Red Ocotber, This is Spinal Tap, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Godfather, Caddyshack, Ace Ventura, The Life Aquatic, What's Up Tiger Lilly, Back to the Future, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, The Royal Tannenbaums, Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle, School of Rock, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Anchorman, and anything with Ron Jeremy.

Television:

ILLINI COLLEGE BASKETBALL, The Daily Show, Colbert Report, American Chopper, Grey's Anatomy, Family Guy, American Dad, The Simpson's, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Monty Python's Flying Circus, Are You Being Served, The Office (Both Versions), and other than that, I think TV sucks.

Books:

Magazine, Lord of the Rings, Devil in the White City, The Communist Manifesto, Atlas Shrugged, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Sophie's World, The Great Shark Hunt, The Rum Diary, The Hunt for Red October, The Proud Highway, Keiso and Weygandt Intermediate Accounting, and I guess I should read more books to make this list more extensive.
