ABOUT G-$HINE:
I was born in Manhattan, NYC. I lived there with my mother and several siblings until I was about 2 years old and was taken away by child services because of child abuse and neglect. I dont really remember too much about my biological family (I actually dont remember shit) because I was mad young. All Ive really been told was that my moms name was Debra, I got a couple brothers and sisters, and no word on Pops, and so thats that. Anyway I was in and out of foster homes for a couple months until D.Y.F.S (Division of Youth and family Services) placed me with a family at 618 N 5th St. Newark NJ. This was to be the family I would grow up with. There I lived with my foster parents Ruth Calderon and Rafael Calderon, and foster brothers Charlie, Mike and Sharrod. Later Mike and Sharrod left leaving me and Charlie there. When were about 5yrs old we were adopted. We moved to Belleville when we were about 12 because my moms was almost car jacked with my brother in the mofukkin car, so she decided it was time to move out of the hood. When I turned 17 mom dukes kicked a nigga out and I started running the streets, selling drugs, and gang bangin wit ma Damus. Ive shot at niggas and Ive been shot at, robbed and neva robbed haha. Shit like that will make a little homie grow up quick you know-the streets of Newark ain't no joke.
Around 2002 I started catching case after case, jumping bail after bail. Ive caught gun charges, drug charges all that shit. You name it and Ive probably done it. Last year 2005, I was released from jail in like august. When I got out I hit the block again and was shot at when I was trying to do the right thing. This is when I knew I needed a change in my life or I was going to end up dead. So I went to my moms house in search of help and all she offered me was the number of my foster brother Mike who lived in Arizona and said hes been asking about you give him a call. At first Im like what the fuck am I going to do with this shit and then I was like fuck it let me see whats good. Man that was the best thing Ive ever done in my life!!! So I called him and started telling him what my situation was and he wasnt feeling it. He gave me the option of moving to AZ or die in the streets of Newark----I moved to AZ like 2days later. Regardless of the fact that I had probation and open cases in NJ, I hadda get to AZ, he got me into rapping. I got good at it and now Im doin it. READY TO GET THIS PAPER!!! But the charges and violation of probation caught up to me so yeah here I am in the county in NJ pending my release!!! Dec 4th bitches, Shine returns to the rap game, so get familiar. But nah its all good Im getting all this hit from the past out of the way and Im starting off 07 fresh. Plus I got my family; Mike, Lady, Ari, Alex, TicToc, tha homie Bars and my future wife AMANDA TOLVE holding me down waiting for the kid to touch down because they know when I do its a rap.
