About Me

i'm always cold. i'm everyone's mother. whiskey is my drink of choice. the grass is always greener somewhere else, no matter where i live.... i have mostly male friends. i have a sick fascination with iceland and volcanoes. i want to be a concert pianist when i grow up. i have really long hair, which i love, but fantasize every day about shaving my head. i live in hawaii and i love the beach, but have freckled irish skin. i'm agnostic. i think spock is sexy. he has pointy ears like the elves that live in my childhood next-door neighbor's stone wall. i used to feed them berries and i still believe that someday i'll find the key that opens the secret turtle rock in the back yard and will descend into a world of magical little people, never to be seen or heard from again. i have 3 really close female friends and they're all married. i love them dearly, but think they're all crazy. i've dyed my hair red since i was 15 years old. i used to sing opera. now i'm a smoker. i have a really bad temper, which i attribute to being a triple fire sign (because it's just easier that way). i bought a stolen mountain bike at a pawn shop 3 years ago and still feel kind of guilty about it. i have 2 sisters and 1 brother. we all get along. i love to travel more than anything in the world. my friend Wendy affectionately describes me as a "vagabond", but i personally prefer "gypsy".... i used to have a skylight over my bed and i loved to lay there drinking coffee and listening to rain in the morning. i miss my skylight... i used to have a dog named skylar. he was smarter than most of the people i know. i miss my skylar... i think that poodles are mean spirited. cats are nice, but i'm allergic to them (except for siamese, for some strange reason...). i like to stay up all night and sleep all day. i hate sleeping alone. almost everything i own is burgundy or black. i don't wear shorts but i'll wear short skirts. i can't drive, but i like to go really fast in cars. i've been to 36 of the 50 states... so far. the next trip i want to take is to spain. bored yet? i plan to write a book someday because my 11th grade english teacher told me i should and i still want her to be proud of me for some strange reason. i saw phantom of the opera at the kennedy center in washington, d.c. when i was 12 years old and i still have my ticket stub. it changed my life. really. i'm not joking.... i have strange dreams involving strange things such as "portable flotation stoves", mind-reading, talking cats and magical superhero wheelchairs that help me save the world from ninja wolves and panda bears that continue to talk to me after i've decapitated them while i carry their heads around in a plastic bag. i have entirely too much free time on my hands these days....
