Now and then, a new and extraordinary talent comes along to really put music into its true perspective.On the radar to make a lasting impression, Bianca emerges from Salt Lake City, Utah to put you back on the dance-floor and in sync with your senses.Born in Denver, Colorado, Bianca combines all the intoxicating flavors she nurtured from the time her parents moved from the Rocky Mountains to settle in Utah.
Growing up in a region of the country where easy listening and Top 40 dominated the radio play lists, Bianca found out early she had to seek out her own niche.
Her father loved listening to classical music.
Her Brazilian mother preferred Latin and samba.
And her brother was more devoted to Guns & Roses than any rocker on the circuit.
With all those different strains of music to choose from, early on, Bianca decided she would hone her own style of musical appreciation.Bianca recognized that Stevie Wonder made her snap her fingers.
Smokey Robinson made her drift into blissful utopia.
And when the Platters sang Smoke Gets In Your Eyes, Bianca swooned with expression.
The Motown sound gave her cause to dance.At age 10, Boyz II Men stopped into Salt Lake City. Intent on seeing the group she admired, Bianca counted up all the money she had earned babysitting and washing cars and bought her own ticket.I really, really loved them and nothing was going to stop me from going so I made sure I had my own money, Bianca recalled.That concert reinforced a desire to entertain by singing and dancing in front of large audiences.One thing my parents stressed though, was that I had to get good grades and that I had to go to college.Bianca joined a barbershop singing choir before she was a teenager. It was no surprised to her family when the group was invited to sing at Disneyland.
During this time she continued formal classical voice training.
Bianca also took piano, and ballet lessons.
As if those were not enough extra-curricular activities to occupy every waking hour, Bianca seemed to always find time to audition for a role in one of the theatrical productions in school.She sang in The Sound Of Music, Annie Get Your Gun, South Pacific and Les Miserables.She was president of her dance company.
She was president of the track and cross country teams.
And when it was time for college, Bianca won an academic leadership scholarship to the University of Utah.
Needless to say, Bianca graduated with honors and a degree in business.
Although she had fulfilled her parents wishes, Biancas dream was to pursue a career in music.Shuttling back and forth to California where she knew she could really fulfill her dream, Bianca cemented relationships with music insiders and some very talented producers, engineers and song writers.Using money she had saved, Bianca recorded an entire album.
One of the tracks Lets Dance proved a hit with deejays in the clubs and her recording career was launched. Needless to say, the major labels sat up and took notice: The rest is history in the making.......I would like to think I am a multi-faceted person. First and foremost, I love to sing and perform. I have been singing--according to my Mother--even before I could speak. I also love writing music, playing the piano, sports (mainly basketball and track), hiking, traveling, and spending time with my family and friends.I currently live in Los Angeles where I sing professionally.
