I'd like to meet:
People who know how to live, love and laugh. People who aren't afraid to be themselves despite whatever persecution they may encounter because of it. People who understand the meaning of integrety.

King Missile - It's Saturday
I want to be different, like everybody else I want to be like
I want to be just like all the different people
I have no further interest in being the same,
because I have seen difference all around,
and now I know that that's what I want
I don't want to blend in and be indistinguishable,
I want to be a part of the different crowd,
and assert my individuality along with the others
who are different like me
I don't want to be identical to anyone or anything
I don't even want to be identical to myself
I want to look in the mirror and wonder,
"who is that person? I've never seen that person before;
I've never seen anyone like that before."
I want to call into question thevery idea that
identity can be attached
I want a floating, shifting, ever changing persona:
Invisibility and obscurity,
detachment from the ego and all of it's pursuits.
Unity is useless
Comformity is competitive and divisive and leads only to
stagnation and death.
If what I'm saying doesn't make any sense,
that's because sense can not be made
It's something that must be sensed
And I, for one, am incensed by all this complacency
Why oppose war only when there's a war?
Why defend the clinics only when they're attacked?
Why support the squats in the park only when the police come to close them down?
Why are we always reactive?
Let's activate something
Let's fuck shit up
Whatever happened to revolution for the hell of it?
Whatever happened to protesting nothing in particular, just
protesting cause it's Saturday and there's nothing else to do.
Music:
SERIOUSLY, IF YOU DON'T PLAY THIS VIDEO RIGHT NOW, YOU OFFICIALLY ARE A BIG DUMB JERK!! THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE MOVIES OF ALL TIIIIIME!!!!
Misfits, Dinosaur Jr., Love Ninjas, James Kochalka Superstar, Minus the Bear, Built To Spill, King Missile, HUM, Bouncing Souls, David Bowie, Screamin Jay Hawkins, Pavement, Red Elvises, Man Or Astroman, Mr. Bungle, J. Mascis, the Cure, Parliament, Mike Patton, Loveage, Dead Milkmen, Kenny Rogers, surf rock, punkabilly, punk, indie, and a whole lot more that I really don't feel like typing out right now...
"I've had it with puns, alliteration, russian
literature, Italian neorealism, meaningless cross references and laundry
lists of nonsense.
I shall drive without a license, without clothing,
without direction and if I make it to Louisiana, fine, and if I'm
running late, if I'm running a numbers game, it doesn't matter, I shall
keep on running.
Yes, this is the answer.
This is the ending.
I shall
keep on running, because a body in motion tends to stay emotional, and
it's better to feel.
Pain is better than emptiness, emptiness is better
than nothing, and nothing is better than this."
Movies:
David Lynch, George Romero, John Waters, Sam Raimii, Stephen Chow, Terry Gilliam, Peter Jackson, GODZILLA MOVIES...(well, except for that crappy one, poor Matthew Broderick I still forgive you), Jim Jarmusch, Allison Anders, Ed Wood, John Woo, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Dawn of the Dead, War of the Worlds, Gattaca, Bride of Frankenstein, PCU, Flash Gordon, Popeye, Evil Dead II, Hard Boiled, Mallrats, the Time Machine, George Pal, Frank Henenlotter, really if it's cheezy in just about any way, chances are I'll probably like it. Romance cheeze, horror cheez, sci-fi cheese, whatever. I love sci-fi from the 40's and 50's, Action from the 60's, Horror from the 70's, Coming of Age from the 80's, and date flicks from the 90's, and there really hasn't yet been a specified genre yet for the new millenium, but I'll have to wait for the retrospection to decide...
Television:
Mostly shit that isn't on TV anymore, Twin Peaks, That's Incredible, Real People, Ren & Stimpy, Mork & Mindy, Young Ones, I dunno, shitzzle like that, as for stuff that's on TV nowadays? G4, Adult Swim, Discovery Channel, Learning Channel, Sci-fi Channel, and Comedy. Okay okay...AMC if something good is on. Put simply, if there weren't cool shit on cable, I probably wouldn't watch TV at all.
