About Me

You may know me as Slumgoddess. You may know me as Mercury Drivin' Mama. You may know me as Mrs. Satan Claws or you may know me as Tiny Trailer. I get bored with my Myspace identity, so I have changed it frequently.
I'm Sue and I have a 1964 Mercury Comet and a 1964 Shasta trailer. I also have a tiny trailer that some guy built a long time ago. It's like a trailer dollhouse. It lights up inside and has curtains and everything. I have big plans for all of these things, they are my prize possesions.
I used to work at this corporate office with a lot of chicks. Everyone had to have the biggest diamond ring or the most expensive shoes or whatever. After I got married, the women I worked with would ask to see my ring. It was always funny to me how their faces got that look of superiority or outright disappointment when they saw how unspectacular my little vintage ring with the small diamonds was.
I guess my priorities are a bit different. I was so unhappy in that world, I vowed I would do something different where I could make money and not have to deal with total assholes all the time, even if it took having three shitty jobs instead of one good job.
So here's where we're at:
I'm an imperfect retro housewife.
I have dogs instead of children.
I actually have 2 part time jobs and 2 small businesses, so I guess I'm not really a housewife, but whatever, I like to cook. I hate to clean.
I quit my corporate job 3 years ago to start Heavy Threads Custom Embroidery. I have a professional Amaya embroidery machine and a small appointment only shop located in Duarte, California. I do contract work and can digitize just about any logo or artwork for embroidery. I specialize in retro style designs. Right now, I'm doing cardigans and hoping a lot of you rockabilly gals are gearing up your wardrobe for Viva Las Vegas.
