Wooden Boy

Music for the geneticaly unemployable and unwashed

About Me

Wooden Boy are:
David Hutson (Guitar + Voice)
Rob Davies (Guitar + Voice)
Scott Boulton (Drums)
Jack Cocker (Bass)
After meeting at college and discovering a mutual love for similar styles of music and playing live, Wooden Boy was formed in summer 2005. Initial writing sessions and rehearsals took place for 3 months, mixing influences such as Reuben, Biffy Clyro, Hundred Reasons, Queens of the Stone Age and At The Drive-In, giving "Wooden Boy" their truely unique sound.
Since then the guys have recorded with the likes of George Apsion (Hundred Reasons- "Kill Your Own"), embarked on several stints of U.K touring, and have been constantly writting and rehearsing and gathering a loyal army of followers. As well as recently completing the recording of new tracks "Complacency is your worst enemy" and "Lullabies" at PINNA studios, London, the band have also been picked up by U.K unsigned and started playing industry showcases.
"FASHION CAN SUCK MY LEFT TESTICLE"-- Not that the band have ever gone out of there way to avoid fashion at all costs, but with so many bands using there guitar as more of an accessory or item of jewellry rather than an instrument you can rely on the boys to always laugh at the fashion fucker indie kids of this world, stick a picture of Timmy Mallet to something, and then let rip a burst of Emotionaly charged, raw power and aggression.
It is time for a new scene.
Time for a change.
It's time for the beef people.
