Read "My Heritage"This Orignal and Copy Written poem (so don't even think about it) hits the very core and essence who Willie T is and what he stands for. A man with two families since before the age of two, a not so uncommon occurence in modern America. There are no memories of any life before. It began in Bunnel, FL where his first memories are of his mother, his two older sisters, and himself. His father and stepmother, who had been married in 1982 and lived in Jacksonville,FL ,would drive to Bunnel and pick-up Willie and his two sisters during breaks from school, every other Christmas for two weeks and every summer for two and a half months. Willie's mother met the father of his soon to be born sister in 1983. He was a sauve and charming southern black American man. In 1984, Willie found himself leaving Florida and heading to Michigan where his mother's family was from. On Feburary 29, 1984, Willie's third sister was born. The next day as he and his two older sister sat around the bed where is mother layed, he found himself holding his new born sister. Being four, and not completely aware of the world around him, he held his little sister in his lap and had two thoughts; one, she sure was a beatiful baby and two, how did she get such a dark tan. In 1986, his father and stepmother had a son. Willie was happy to finally have a brother, but still loved his sisters. His mother would go on to have another boy and girl with the same man. His father and stepmother also had two more kids, a girl and another boy. So, Willie was blessed with three brothers and three more sisters. And so, it had come to pass. The Family he never new was gone and now there were two new families to take it's place. Well, two is better than one. Isn't it?
