Miss Jackie and the Sass was created in February 2005 when singer/songwriter Jackie Matejko joined forces with drummer Kristen Regester. Their musical chemistry was immediately amazing, and it shone through to the audience like a red light in a window in Amsterdam. About a year later, Kristen left the sassiness to go tour around with Nice Peter. Luckily, she recently returned and is once again The Original Sass!
Individually, Miss Jackie has been having musical relations with lots of cool folks such as the all-female a cappella group Faces For Radio, the sexy, new wave band Plane, blues-n-booze rock band The Dirty Rooks, and the soulful Mr. Pitiful. In a few months she's gettin' together with the wonderful band Medicine Hat to lay down some backup vocals! Kristen, on the other hand, occasionally lends her rhythmic talents to rock bands such as Chicago's Hoyne, and spends her free time dancing to Brazilian music and enhancing the lives of elderlies.
