Doc Ellis

fun, nasty fun

About Me

Doc Ellis, from NYC, are best known for their grooves that make you move, and for kickin’ out the jams until it’s way past your bedtime; think John Scofield and George Clinton jammin' at ?uestlove's house party in the sky. These funky players exploded onto the scene in the summer of 2006 and have since logged in time at famed New York City venues like Kenny’s Castaways, Coda, Rockwood Music Hall, The Knitting Factory (Old Office, Tap Bar and Main Space), Fontana’s, The Annex, Banjo Jim's and The Lion’s Den, where they performed as part of the 2006 CMJ Music Marathon. They have appeared at the 2007 Green Apple Music Festival, and on out-of-state gigs at UMass Amherst, in Amherst, MA, and at the legendary Nectar’s, in Burlington, VT. They have shared the stage with Moonshine Still, The Breakfast, The Codetalkers, Outformation, Licorice, Topaz, Papa Mali, Devon Allman's Honeytribe, NBFB, Jounce, The Dynamites feat. Charles Walker and many others. FOR BOOKING: [email protected]
