About me... Not sure what to say, because sometimes I think I have me figured out, and then I realize that I really don't. I was born and raised in New York to parents from Ghana, West Africa. I am proud that I am able to embrace both ethnicities, and I feel extremely privileged about it. Honesty and sincerity are so very important to me; I do my very best to practice and live both DAILY. I am a very sensitive, hard working, and passionate woman. Also a divorced single mother of a teenaged son, Christian. He is my saving grace and the love of my life. I TRULY love God, and my walk with him is a continuous struggle. I don't understand why and how life can be so cruel and challenging even when you strive your best to live right and be sincere... I don't get it. I am passionate about writing, music, film, and television. I LOVE literature, and if it were a perfect world, I would finish up my PhD, and start making my films. I am a writer, I have started a novel (STRADDLIN',) completed two books of short stories - one African (AWAITING FATE AND OTHER TALKING TEXTS,) and one African-American (THAT'S WHAT'S UP AND OTHER STORIES.) I am also about to publish a book of poetry entitled, RAIN LOVE POEMS & PORTRAITS. I believe that it is an amazing piece of work and certain that it will touch many lives. Music seems to also be a very big part of my life – it is woven in and out of the fabric of my existence, and every mile stone that I have encountered. I used to be a college professor of Literature & English for close to six years - this was probably one of the most fulfilling journies of my life. I am also the CEO of Princess Productions & Consulting, a small company that hopes to make it's mark in the production world soon... I am a dreamer, and although I have not been lucky in love, I still believe strongly in it - I WILL NEVER GIVE UP ON LOVE. Finally, I want to keep writing and I hope to make films and TV shows one day soon. Working for BET over the last several years has inspired my love for TV & film. I love people, but tend to be quiet at times because I am a deep thinker. My hope is that life will get better, and that my latter will be GREATER than my past. I will keep striving, holding on to God, and keep working really, really hard – that’s about all I can do – God has the rest :)
