Releases/Press
Taurus Incident Show and CD gets some press:'Remocon, by producer/composer Decaf, was an equally adept foray into shape and texture, conveying the enormity of space while also acknowledging its claustrophobic nature.' -Elaine Corden (West Ender Vancouver)
Decaf - Sedation b/w Level-C 7inch Vinyl (Wzrdry Records)
His first release on his own Wzrdry label. Sounds a lot like Prefuse as Decaf starts off regular stance, and chops his line into all sorts of switch variations. Subtle stuff. -Turntable Lab NYC
Decaf - The Last Street By the Dead End House on the Left
"Industry bum rush yo! Make your own CD, free! This downloadable full-length is an example of music for music's sake. Weird, eh? The Last Street is hard-as-fuck, left-of-centre instrumental hip-hop made by one of Canada's most unrecognized yet deserving producers. Pay attention now at www.wzrdry.com" -The Georgia Straight
Stuck in the 90s EP CD (Audible Objects, Los Angeles, CA) Released 2002
Some might recognize Decaf from the first Tableturns battle record he did with Stratagy. This Muzik Fiendz crew member is back with his first solo release on Shiro's new Audible Objects imprint. "Stuck in the Nineties" is a downtempo number. Reminds me of Fat Jon's work on Mush, the quality of the arrangements is up there.

Napalm Strike Breaks LP (Tabletools Records/Tableturns NYC) Released 2000
a record you should actively hunt down and find two copies of.

URB Magazine Mix.It Mixtape Review Issue No. 62, volume 8
"DJ's OBI-1, Decaf & Stratagy - Cheese, Eggs & Welches Grape (Hip-Hop/Vancouver, BC) Along the lines of Kid Koala or the Skratch Piklz, this is a richly textured collage of beats, samples, random sounds and turntable trickery blended together like gumbo, served up hot and bound to get your head nodding...Definitely one of the most creative mixes I've heard this year."
