About Me

Hola my friends and thank you for coming into my space! It's interesting that no matter how far the bounds of the internet take us, we still want our own space! Even if it's in our little corner of the cyberworld! There is a thought for the day!So I shall venture to expose the truths of one James Jesse Hendon. James started life as we all do, the combustion of two lovers making mistakes in lust and resulting in the image of themselves! He was titled James but referred to as Jesse as not to be mistaken for other James' in the clan. It can lead to deadly disasters including but not limited to confusion, battle of James supremecy and the breaking of family ties. Jesse, as we will now call him, lived his formative years in the suburb w/out a major city, Ft. Wayne, IN. Ft. Wayne has a way of limiting it's pubescent individuals to a lack of enthusiasm, a love of conformity or conforming unconforming (we all know those non comformists that just conform to a different norm!) and a rather dull life of strip malls and fast food joints. Jesse somehow fell into the trenches of becoming a confroming nonconformist during these years. (This part of the story will be left to the imagination and story telling of others for Jesse, being a former teacher, realizes that the internet is not w/out an unsuspecting audience!) After his formative years in Ft. Wayne, Jesse found his way to Bloomington, IN to become a pupil of academia at Indiana University. While these years exposed Jesse to academic freedoms he had never known possible, he was also exposed to other hijinks such as beer pong, quarters and a special hoosier drinking game known as sink the biz! Needless to say Jesse has since lost 20 pounds of beer since graduation! These were however great years in his life for he formed friendships that have extended state and international lines, he learned that it is ok to yearn and fight for more and life is really what you make it. That said, he moved to Los Angeles, having made a summer pit stop in Applachia in the small town of Boone, NC! Jesse arrived in the heart of Los Angeles in August of 2003 moving onto the corner of 3rd and Virgil (for those familiar w/ LA, it's a little area b/w silverlake, koreatown and downtown, Virgil becomes Hyperion). Jesse was a teacher. He taught for Los Angeles Unified School District spending most of his years as a teacher at Thomas Star King Middle School. King (as it is known by it's pupils) is a quaint little school right on the edge of Los Feliz. Jesse learned a lot from being a teacher. He learned patience, tough love is a necessary in this world and no matter where you come from, you can succeed. You see, many of his pupils come from an area known as echo park. If you don't know a few parts of echo park are great, the others are where Training Day was filmed. That's LA for you, bums on the sidewalks with Beamers in the road. Jesse left teaching in the summer of 2006 to persue another dream, becoming a successful financial advisor which he is currently doing for a firm known as Edward Jones. Jesse has come to terms w/ life and hopes that all of you can one day as well. Life's too short to sweat the small stuff, however the small stuff is the easiest to sweat! As I was writing this I thought of a phone call from a college buddy today. He was calling me as many of my college buddies do, JDOGG. I remembered that although we all hope for a life of success and dreams come true, we're still that same kid trying to have a good time as we do it all!

My Interests

Running, Music, Sports, Stocks, Traveling, news(what a dork eh!) and the world! Oh, how could I forget, girls of course, ha!

I'd like to meet:

Cool people, friends of friends, Jimi Hendrix's ghost and George W so I can smack him, Warren Buffet(not Jimmy Buffet hippies!), and if I could go back, Picasso, Plato and myself at 14 to tell me that I was a dumbshit and I didn't know it all!

Music:

I'm all about any good music that I can get my hands on. If I could only have 3 cd's the rest of my life it would be Bob Marley's Exodus, Jay-Z's Vol 2 and Rage Against the Machine's first album. However, if I could only listen to three cd's the rest of my life I'd probably just run away to a place where that wouldn't have to happen! I may also replace Jay-Z with Atmosphere's Lucy Ford LP.

Movies:

Rocky I - IV ~ V is not worth watching! Godfather I & II Scarface Zoolander Austin Powers RUDY!!! Fight Club Crash City of God

Television:

Family Guy, Simpsons, Entourage, CNN (most shows!), ESPN, FOOTBALL (Go Colts!), The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch, Seinfeld, Basketball, Arrested Development

Books:

Survivor by Chuck Palahniuk, the da vinci code, Free Agent nation by Daniel Pink, Autobiography of Malcolm X, Plato's Republic and The Prince Machiaveli

Heroes:

Dr. MLK Jr, Einstein, Bob Marley, Warren Buffet, and many people that I cannot presently remember!
