About Me

More of an introvert than otherwise I am for the most part a pretty low key individual. I try to be a humble, well rounded, salt of the earth, decent fellow. I aim to prevent letting my ego and hot temper get the best of me, a byproduct of a hyper competitive spirit. In recent years this has come easier as age and experience have tempered my expectations and altered my perceptions and priorities. My license plate makes reference to being a MLB fan. A fair assumption I suppose. This past summer I was up in the Alaskan wilderness, literally upon the top of world, at sea in small vessel cruising through crystal blue frozen waters so pristine you'd swear you were looking at the set of Superman's home planet of Krypton. Yet in this last bastian of nature unfettered by human hands, while appreciating and understanding the importance and rare occurance it would be that I would set sight on such a visual splendor, I felt compelled to continue reading a book about the scouting, development, management and organizational philosphy of the Atlanta Braves. I simply had to know what made them so successful in this modern sports age where they could reel off 14 division championships in a row. Hard to gage whether such behavior puts me on firm ground with sanity. I suppose I'm a little extreme in some respects. Well, Go Blue! Speaking of LA I am still extemely annoyed they sought the need to fire Ross Porter. That is complete and utter garbage. Let's just take a little piece of what Dodger fans had grown to know since childhood, memories Uncle Ross would instill, lessons he'd teach, experiences he'd share and flush them down the toilet. Who else was going to tell us that Mariano Duncan is hitting .320 in the month of May against left handed pitchers from the state of Nebraska on Tuesday evenings at Chavez Ravine? Certainly not Rick Monday. Monday, the man they kept instead is a cross between Frankenstein and Patrick Duffy. So boring, so lame, so fully incapable of ever relaying the score of the game is he, that it mystifies the conscious mind as to how he keeps the job. Perhaps I'm overreacting a bit, so it has been said.I am clinically addicted to caffine...my choice of injection is through soda...coke, pepsi, moutain dew, dr. pepper, rc...i am not a soda snob like some...GABE.I am also quite fond of potatoes, be they mashed, baked or fried I'll eat them any time, any place, anywhere. In case you want to know, and judging by the amount of times people ask you don't, Charo Chickens Moe's Famous Potato is the highest caliber baked potato I have ever had. Del Taco makes a quality chili cheese fries which does benefit from the consumer making the decision to upgrade to the "deluxe" model of said chili fries. I have achieved some status of culinary intrigue with my instant mashed potatoes, which with a dab of diced garlic and cream cheese take instant potatoes to the next level. The intrigue has been only sought by myself but I'm sure in due time it will make its way round the bend.I am a quarter Italian and like pizza, so that makes sense. My grandmother was from Italy. My favorite alcoholic beverage is probably Guinness, or some form of stout beer. I am a happy drunk and don't care much for the angry drunk types as they kill my buzz.I went from 3rd grade to 6th grade, missing one week with severe sickness, and then 7th grade - senior year in high school without missing a day of school...with the exception of the Friday we took off to run in the Manhattan Invitational, which we won...but I digress. The point is I didn't get a fricking perfect atttendence certificate from Elmo...what the hell. I want answers.I am rather experienced with Excel, as my occupation as a financial analyst for a golf company has led me to said skills, so if you have a question about it I might be inclined to assist you, or point you in the direction of the Help Index. Ha ha. Semicolon backslash. Eh, that wasn't really funny after re-reading it. F*ck. I sound like a geek. Damn it.On the weekends I enjoy getting away to the San Bernardino mountains, more specifically Lake Arrowhead, where my parents have a cabin, err a hem, house. I just spelled mountain as mountian and had no idea which way was the correct spelling. Holy crap I cannot believe how bad my grammar and spelling have gotten as the years have gone by. And I used to be great at that stuff. And now I am starting sentences with the word "and." And ending sentences with prepositions and using "stuff" instead of more descriptive pronouns. Pretty soon I'll be writing like Emenaker, and since he writes as though he were a retarded monkey, that would be less than ideal. Back to Arrowhead, calling the place a Cabin gives off the impression of Lincoln Logs and hill billies and incest and rodeos and washboards and jug blowing dixie bands and whatnot. That is not the type of place I am referring to, so lets get that visual out of your head and just call it a vacation home. Well it has electricity, heating, and Nintendo. What more could you want? A jacuzzi, well it has that as well. A great place to enjoy nature, hang out, eat, drink and be merry. Some of the best times I can recall with family and friends over the last several years have been had at that place. I do still spend a lot of time with my family as I feel that are a great support system for me. I feel very fortunate to have them. Here is Richard Dreyfuss on Real Time with Bill Maher with a must hear discourse on the importance of civics and unapologetic right to question authority...Neil Diamond fueled creatively by his massive hatred of immigrantsPatton Oswalt on Circ de Soliel and GOP hypocrisyAlec Baldwin "Fuck You that's my name!"

Kennedy:What do our opponents mean when they apply to us the label "Liberal?" If by "Liberal" they mean, as they want people to believe, someone who is soft in his policies abroad, who is against local government, and who is unconcerned with the taxpayer's dollar, then ... we are not that kind of "Liberal." But if by a "Liberal" they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people -- their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights, and their civil liberties -- someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a "Liberal," then I'm proud to say I'm a "Liberal."
