FEATURED PROFILE:

Shea Seger

Shea Seger describes her music as "mutt dog... bluesy pop with beats". Shea's first album The May Street Project was released in the UK last year and is certainly a promising debut from the 21 year old singer-songwriter from Quitman, Texas. Having studied musical theatre in Virginia, Shea came to London and made the album with Martin Terefe and Nick Whitecross.

She released her first single, Last Time, in 2000; a heartfelt ultimatum about relationship and change. The video on the CD is worth the price itself. This year she released her second single, Clutch. Clearly being marketed on her country girl image, she has her own distinct musical style which some have compared to Sheryl Crow and Alanis, but is closer to those of Edie Brickell, Tracey Chapman or Natalie Imbruglia, This album brings together a broad spectrum of musical styles to create something sounding contemporary and original.

Her songs have an inescapable charm and positivity. There are modern beats with bluesy emotion. We get orchestral sweeps and moments of quiet contemplation.

FEATURED FILM:

RAILED

Synopsis

Railed is a film I produced with the tremendously talented director, Ryan Fox , and features original music by Shea Seger and an original score by Michael Chaves .

Railed blurs the line between reality and fiction, taking place on a cross-country train trip from Los Angeles to New York. Passengers, unaware, become the stars and plot of the film. We shot it completely with hidden cameras which allowed the story to take an organic journey that's dependent on natural human curiosity and the need to be involved. Here's a clip of the film...

FEATURED SHOW:

LOST

If anyone knows me at all, they know I like a good puzzle. This show is the ultimate mystery. Every week I'm pulled in more than I'd care to admit and I don't think I ever want to know the real secrets of the island. Please, oh please don't let it all be a dream!

FEATURED BOOK:

5 FACTOR FITNESS

I just started this...written by Harley Pasternak, The 5-Factor Diet was originally created for celebrities (shocking). Harley was challenged to create brief (yet incredibly effective) workouts for actors, while training them during their short breaks on movie sets. In addition, he needed to create healthy meals in a matter of minutes (literally), using simple ingredients (the fewer the better) that could fit in the mini fridge on a set. Oh, and did we mention that he was relying on a blender and toaster oven for the mixing, blending, and cooking? Harley's clients were eating five times a day, cutting the length of their workouts, and transforming their bodies! As the saying goes, necessity is the mother of invention.

Harley has taken his celebrity-approved diet, and turned it into an interactive and customized online program. Studies show that people who participate in online weight-loss programs lose more weight than those who go it alone. The 5-Factor Diet Online tools are designed to help you stay motivated, feel in control, and track your progress.
