About Me

i am a tree climber (totally different than a hippie). i love to be barefoot. i love my 3 cats (madison, eliajah, and tyler durden). i love spending time with my son jacob, who is 15 years old already. i have been a proud member of the APP since 1998 and love my work at Saint Sabrina's. i proudly have taught for PPIS and APP conference. i adore my car and my house. i spend alot of time in our organic garden, which brings alot of chill time and veggies to my family. i am an herbalist, and environmentalist, active member of my ne mpls citizen organisation, aspca, and pro-choice mn. i am outraged by my government. i try to channel my hatred toward this president into proactive, productive means, but i often feel i can not do enough to possibly fix this american mess. i am a busy girl. i flee the noise and polution of mpls as often as i can to the forest of wisconsin (where i grew up) to hike and camp and play in waterfalls.

My Interests

gardening, body piercing, yoga, hikeing, camping, grass roots efforts, environmental pro-action, mpr and air america radio, al franken!, '08 elections, body modification, tattoos (but i dont want to talk about them so dont ask me), parenting/motherhood, cats, drawing monsters, irritating my general manager to no end, rocking the house, putting my foot down, hard, and often and that is sometimes not in my best interest...

right now? i happen to be sick of all the 4000 songs on my ipod. i'd rather invite you, rainer, mike, sean, and josh over to listen to my late '80/early '90's cassette collection that is skattered throughout my unfinished attic.

Movies:

i enjoy watching light action, light drama, full comedy, and dark comedy. i dont like super horror or anything that makes my stomach hurt with suspence. i love mst3kmy son and his friend made the youtube clip!

Television:

fraiser, csi, discovery channel, planet earth

Books:

tom robbins, neil gamion, david mack. i read as often and for as long as i can. bedtime graphic novels with tea.

Heroes:

jack bornsen, my daddy. introduced me to the app, saved my life, nursed be back to life after pretty bad car accident in '89. and right next to daddy is my kid, jacob. couldnt imagine life with out him. he opens my eyes every day. makes me wonder how life can be so damn good.derek lowe is my hero, too. cant say as though i'd be where i am as a person or a professional piercer with out his influence. i certainly would be more jaded and angry with client relations if i didnt have derek to work beside. you know how someone can change your life drastically for the better and you dont even notice cuz it's too close to home? how someone can evolve you and with you and watch you grow and change and become a more complete, beautiful person with out being egotistical or needing credit for their influence? that's how these men (and soon to be men) are to me. i'm a very lucky girl
