About Me

Hi, I'm 17 yrs old and from Dublin, Ireland. Mmm...Now where do I start??? Well, my first passion was to be a football player. It wasn’t until I was 7 and heard Whitney Houston’s ‘I Will Always Love You‘ that I belted out my first note, practicing for ages with my sister. My goals in life quickly changed when I discovered I could sing better then I could play football (although I was very good I must say). I concentrated on singing and performing despite my lack of self confidence and stage fright, but didn’t actually perform in front of a crowd until I was 12. It was a talent show that went on for 2 nights in which I sang Christina Aguilera’s ‘The Voice Within’. It was the first singing competition I’d entered, and competing against nearly 50 contestants wasn’t easy, especially with a crowd of nearly 200 people watching.. IT WAS CRAZY!! I got through to the finals and sang ‘The Voice Within’ acapella!, which scared the life out me. I won the competition, and it was there I met the then owner of the Hollywood Academy. I was enrolled and studied dance, drama etc. for 2 years. Dancing was never a strong point of mine but I knew I had to do it if I wanted to b a performer. I wrote my first song when I was 13 ’Tell me the Truth’ and continued writing from there on, mostly about things I’d been through, wanted to experience and what annoyed me… It was at the age of 14 I realised not enough was being done. It was then I received a number from a friend of a producer situated in Malahide. My mam rang up Billy Farrell who had worked with The Corrs, Westlife etc. and asked him if he could listen and produce my song. He said yes!! Lol I arrived at his studio in Malahide and sang my first ever self written song. He asked me to return another day. I returned and met his co producer Ed O Leary. I sang again and it was then I was offered a production/ development deal. I signed in June 2006 and haven’t looked back since. So far I’ve recorded three original songs ‘Tell me the Truth, I Could Be and I’m Gone. I am currently seeking a recording contract and in my attempts to get one my cd was given to FM104 D.J. Tony D. He really liked my song Tell me the Truth and he played it every Saturday on his show. The response it got on the text lines was amazing. I hope that I will have the same effect on recording companies……watch this space Jade xx
